Quick answer: Paste the TeraBox share link into play.ontrepid.in, press Play, then tap Download. Your browser saves the original file (usually MP4) to your Downloads folder. No TeraBox account, app or extension is needed.
Why TeraBox's own download is frustrating
Downloading from TeraBox normally means installing the app, signing in, and then watching a slow progress bar on a free account. Large files may be split into parts, and some phones show a "save to your TeraBox" step before the download even starts. If the file is shared with you and you only want a copy, that is a lot of steps.
A TeraBox direct link downloader skips all of it. It asks TeraBox for the real address of the shared file and lets your browser download it like any other file on the internet.
How to download a TeraBox video with Ontrepid Play
- Copy the share link from WhatsApp, Telegram, email or a website.
- Open Ontrepid Play and paste the link. Press Play.
- Check the file name and size under the player. This tells you exactly what you are about to save.
- Tap Download. On a phone, confirm the download prompt. On a computer, choose a folder if your browser asks.
You can also press Play first to check it is the right video, then download. Nothing is saved on our side either way.
Check the file size first
Before you tap Download on mobile data, look at the size shown under the player:
| Size | On 4G (about 20 Mbps) | On Wi-Fi (about 100 Mbps) |
|---|---|---|
| 200 MB | about 1.5 min | under 20 sec |
| 1 GB | about 7 min | about 1.5 min |
| 4 GB | about 27 min | about 6 min |
Real speed depends on TeraBox's server at that moment, so treat these as best case. For anything over 1 GB, Wi-Fi is the better choice.
Where the downloaded file ends up
- Android (Chrome, Samsung Internet): the Downloads folder. Open the Files app, then Downloads. Videos also show in Google Photos or Gallery after a short while.
- iPhone and iPad (Safari): the Files app, Downloads folder. Open it, tap Share, Save Video to move it to Photos. Full steps in our iPhone guide.
- Windows: the Downloads folder in File Explorer, unless you chose another folder.
- Mac: the Downloads folder in Finder.
- Chromebook: Files app, My files, Downloads.
MP4 or MKV?
We give you the original file the uploader shared. We do not convert it, so the quality stays exactly as uploaded.
- MP4 plays everywhere: phones, PCs, TVs, the gallery app.
- MKV keeps multiple audio tracks and subtitles but does not play in Safari or iPhone Photos. Use VLC (free on every platform).
- MOV plays fine on Apple devices and most others.
If the download stops halfway
Downloads from TeraBox servers can stall, especially for big files on mobile data.
- Resume instead of restarting. In Chrome, open the Downloads page and tap Resume. Many TeraBox files support resuming.
- Get a fresh address. If resume fails, paste the link into the player again and download once more. The download address is temporary, and a new one often fixes stuck downloads.
- Keep the screen on. Some phones pause downloads when the screen locks or battery saver kicks in.
- Free up space. A full phone stops downloads without a clear error. Check you have at least the file size free, plus a little more.
- Try a desktop. For very large files, a computer on cable or Wi-Fi is far more reliable.
More fixes are in our not playing or downloading guide.
Downloading the same video again
If you deleted the file or want it on another device, just paste the same link again. As long as the uploader has not removed the share, it works every time. There is no daily limit on our side.
Only save what you are allowed to
Downloading a video a friend shared with you, a lecture from your teacher, or your own uploads is normal use. Downloading paid courses, movies or other people's work to reshare it is not. Please read our terms.

Frequently asked questions
Can I download TeraBox videos without an account?
Yes. Our TeraBox downloader only needs the share link. No account, no login, no email.
Is there a download speed limit?
We do not add any limit. The speed depends on TeraBox's server and your connection.
Will the video lose quality?
No. You get the original file exactly as it was uploaded. We do not re-encode.
Can I download a whole TeraBox folder at once?
Not yet. Open the folder in TeraBox and copy the link of each video, then download them one by one.
What is a TeraBox link generator?
People use the term for tools that turn a TeraBox share link into a direct, playable or downloadable link. That is exactly what our player does when you press Play.
Where do downloads go on Android?
Into the Downloads folder. Open the Files app and tap Downloads, or check your Gallery.
